Who we are

What we collect
What you send us: name, company, email, phone or WhatsApp number, website URL and anything you type into a form or email.
What our site collects automatically: pages viewed, approximate location from IP, device and browser type, referring page. We use Google Analytics 4 for this. It sets cookies.
What clients give us during work: access to Google Search Console, Analytics, Business Profile, ad accounts and websites. We use it only for the work you hired us for.
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry, run your retainer, send reports and invoices, and improve the site. We don't sell your data. We don't send marketing email unless you've asked for it, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
Who we share it with
Tools we run the business on: Google Workspace, Google Analytics, our hosting provider, our invoicing and payment providers, and the platforms you've asked us to work in (Google, Meta, LinkedIn). Each is bound by its own privacy terms. We share with nobody else unless the law requires it.
Where it's stored and for how long
On the providers above, in data centres they operate in the EU, the US and India. Enquiries we keep for 24 months. Client records we keep for 5 years after the retainer ends, for tax and accounting. You can ask us to delete your data sooner, and we will unless we're legally required to keep it.
Your rights
Ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to marketing. Email hello@mediaupshift.com. We reply within 14 days. UAE residents: this policy follows Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection. India residents: the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
