How to choose a PPC agency in Dubai · the honest checklist.

If you skip this and just call the first agency that bought your Google search, you'll overpay. Here's the seven-point screen we use ourselves when we have to hire vendors.

Ask for real ROAS screenshots. Not custom dashboards.

If they only show you their own dashboard, they're hiding bad days. Real Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads UI screenshots include date ranges, account names (which can be blurred), and the raw numbers. Most Dubai agencies dodge this. We don't.

Get the actual ad spend ratio they recommend.

Honest agencies suggest retainer is 12-25% of monthly ad spend. If your spend is AED 10K and they want AED 8K/mo retainer, the unit economics rarely work. If your spend is AED 50K and they want AED 3K, they probably can't afford to do the work properly.

Confirm who's actually running the account.

"Senior strategist" who joins the sales call but a junior runs the account is the #1 Dubai PPC bait-and-switch. Ask for the LinkedIn of the person who'll be in your Meta Business Manager every day. Insist on it.

Check if they own creative or just media.

Creative drives 70-80% of paid performance in 2026. If your PPC agency outsources video and statics, you're paying margin on margin and the creative team has zero feedback loop. Better: an agency that produces both, with creative iteration on a 7-day cycle.

Verify Pixel + Conversions API setup before signing.

iOS 14.5+ killed Pixel-only attribution. If they haven't set up Conversions API in the first onboarding week, your campaign data is degrading. Ask: "Will you implement CAPI on day one?"

Demand 14-day reporting, not monthly.

Monthly is too slow to course-correct a campaign losing money. Real PPC agencies share a Loom or written update every 14 days minimum. Weekly during scale-up. If they're "monthly only," they're not actively managing.

Make sure they keep the ad account in your name.

Dubai PPC scams in 2024-25 had agencies running campaigns from their own Business Manager and gating clients out of the data. Your Meta Business Manager and Google Ads account must be owned by your business entity. The agency gets admin access, not ownership.

How much does PPC management cost in Dubai?+

Our flat retainer model: AED 1,990/mo for one channel, AED 3,990/mo for Google + Meta, AED 7,990/mo for all channels with embedded pod. We don't charge % of ad spend. Your management fee doesn't grow when you scale ad spend. Ad spend itself is invoiced separately by Meta/Google.

Do you charge a % of ad spend or flat retainer?+

Flat retainer only. Most Dubai agencies charge 15-20% of spend, which penalizes you for scaling and makes them quietly happy when ad costs go up. We're paid the same whether your monthly spend is AED 10K or AED 100K. Only ROAS matters to both of us.

What's the minimum ad spend you'll work with?+

AED 3,000/month minimum ad spend for Starter. Below that, Meta's algorithm can't optimize properly. Growth tier suits brands spending AED 15K-75K/mo. Scale tier for AED 75K+.

How long until I see ROAS results?+

Google Ads or Meta Ads in Dubai, which is better?+

Different jobs. Google captures people who already know they want your thing. Meta creates the want. Most Dubai brands need both, with Meta heavier for D2C and Google heavier for B2B and high-intent purchases like real estate or professional services.

Can I run my own Google Ads in Dubai?+

For a small local business with a tight keyword list, yes, you can self-serve. For e-commerce with catalog ads, conversion tracking, Performance Max, audience segmentation, and Conversions API, the agency margin pays for itself within 60 days. Try it yourself first, see if you hit a wall.

How quickly will I see results from PPC?+

Traffic, within hours. Conversions, within 7 to 14 days as the algorithm learns. Real ROAS lift, 30 to 60 days. Anyone promising "instant ROAS" is selling you wishful thinking. The first 14 days are paid learning, the next 14 are optimisation, and after that you start scaling what works.

What happens to my ad account if I leave my PPC agency?+

If you owned the Meta Business Manager and Google Ads account from day one (you should), everything stays with you. The agency loses admin access on the way out. If the agency set up the account in their name, you may lose history. This is the single biggest "got you" in Dubai PPC.
